Doug joined Mattatall Signs Limited in 2008 after spending the previous 10 years in Western Canada. Doug’s 30 years in the signage industry have given him vast experience in all areas of the business including design, construction, installation, and pricing. Doug’s role as an Account Executive at MSL involves generating new business as well as servicing our existing customers.

Prior to starting work in the signage industry, Doug studied in the Saint Mary’s Engineering program. Outside of work, Doug enjoys Curling, Golf and Soccer…and has been the chair of the Manulife Dragonboat Festival for the past six years, raising money for amateur sport in Nova Scotia.

John has been a member of the Mattatall Signs team since March 2006. During his tenure he has held positions of Production Manager, Operations Manager, Director – Operations, and his current role as an Account Executive. John’s expertise revolves around process improvement, producing results that precisely meet client’s expectations, giving close attention to accuracy of details and focus on supporting his team to produce excellent, high quality work. John is operationally focused and thinks in specific terms, about what needs to be done and how to do it accurately and flawlessly while executing a plan. Prior to working with Mattatall Signs John spent 29 years in the beverage industry with Pepsi Beverages Canada and Canadian Springs in various management roles. John is the Chair for the Dartmouth General Hospital Lobster Dinner & Auction committee, and past Director for Partners For Care at Capital District Health Authority.

Dan joins Mattatall Signs with over 30 years of sales and management experience in a variety of industries including construction, electronics and retail.

Dan is all about customer service and thrives on assisting customers with sales growth by finding the best solution to their business needs.

Outside of work Dan can be found with a guitar strapped around his neck playing tunes with his fellow band mates or around a campfire. Dan also enjoys camping with his family, golf and canoeing.

Trevor joined Mattatall in July of 2021 with 30 years combined sales experience in the printing and publishing industries.

Trevor is all about solution selling and helping his client achieve their maximum results. He is committed to providing superior customer service and gets great satisfaction out helping his clients.

In his spare time Trevor enjoys spending time with family and friends. He enjoys exercising, hiking and beachcombing. He also does research on his family genealogy and is collecting and organizing his family history for future generations.

Kim has been with Mattatall Signs Ltd since February 2009 as Accounting Analyst. She has been in the accounting field for over 10 years and handles accounts payables, accounts receivables and various other financial responsibilities within the company. Her drive and persistence in all aspects of her position play a key role in our day to day operations.

Gayle came to Mattatall Signs in April of 2014 as an administrative assistant. As the first point of contact for most of our customers, Gayle ensures everyone is greeted with a smile. Her previous experience includes being the executive administrative assistant for the AJAG (Europe) office of the Department of National Defence in Germany and she applies her organizational skills here flawlessly. Gayle obtained her Legal Secretary Diploma in 1988 from Holland College in PEI and is a former first aid instructor for St John’s Ambulance. When not at work, Gayle enjoys doing cross-stitch and baking with her three daughters.

Charlett joined Mattatall Signs in August of 2016, coming from a local custom manufacturing company she brought 8 years of Admin. Assistant experience with her.

When not at work, Charlett enjoys sewing, drawing, exercise, and experimenting with new recipes on her slow cooker.

Daniel moved from Romania to Canada in 2012 and after a brief stint with another sign company came to MSL in 2014. Daniel's primary responsibilities include the operation of our Sabre and AXYS router tables as well as our Accubend. With that said, Daniel is cross trained on almost every piece of equipment we have and is always up for a new challenge! Daniel holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a Masters in Banking and Insurance Management.

Christine joined MSL 18 years ago after a career with another sign company. To say that Christine has a lot of experience, would be an understatement.

When asked to describe her day-to-day, Christine replied "I do everything" with a laugh, and we all tend to agree. From file set-ups through to weeding the most tedious, small vinyls, Christine takes pride in her work and the final product is reflective of that. Christine is a 3M certified vinyl applicator.

Outside of work Christine enjoys gardening...her first project this year is to rebuild the greenhouse that Old Man Winter flattened on her!

Aaron joined the Mattatall Team in September 2001 after a 3 year stint as a designer at another sign manufacturer in Dartmouth. As our senior graphic designer he takes a leadership role in the development of original creative and also the faithful adaptation of customer supplied branding in the design and presentation stage of our workflow, working hand in hand with our sales force in that regard.

He also works closely with our production team to ensure finished products meet design objectives. Aaron was educated at Crandall University in Moncton and also at the New Brunswick Community College in Fredericton, New Brunswick where he completed the Digital Communications program (1997) for which he received the Student Award of Merit for outstanding achievement. He’s an active member of his church, a seasoned hiker and has a black belt in Karate-do Skotokai.

Jessica started with the company in the spring of 2022. She grew up in Ontario but moved to Nova Scotia to attend post-secondary school, where she received an education in Applied Media & Communication Arts, Digital Marketing, and Graphic Design. She uses her creativity and attention to detail to assist in the sign making process to get clients a finished product that they are proud of. When spending time away from the office, she enjoys traveling, cooking and movie marathons.

While living in the US, and after completing his AAS in general and architectural drafting, Eric Granholm first entered the sign industry in 2003 as a Sign Architect. After moving to Canada, he joined Mattatall Signs in 2009 as a Draftsman. During his time in the industry, he has performed many roles with his primary focus being sign design and fabrication design, electrical spec, and consultation in the field and throughout the plant for fabrication and installation.

In addition to his primary roles, he also has experience with graphic design, fabrication and installation of vinyl graphics, CNC machining, digital printing, estimating, and purchasing. Outside of work, Eric enjoys playing the guitar in his band which performs at various venues a few times a month. He also enjoys outdoor cooking, spending time with his family and friends, geocaching, and shooting sports.
